Hot Buttered Rum Drink
The perfect drink to curl up with next to the fire.
- 4 cups non-sparkling bottled water
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp imitation rum extract
- 1/4 tsp each ground cinnamon and allspice
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
In saucepan bring bottled water to a boil. Meanwhile in small bowl beat butter, brown sugar, rum extract and spices until smooth.
In each of 4 mugs place 1/4 butter-sugar mixture; pour in 1 cup boiling water. Stir with cinnamon stick. Makes 4 servings.
